SUCCESSION SEVEN
1) Mindfulness 2) Ease 3) Sanctification 4) Gratitude 5) Happiness 6) Kindness 7) Creativity/Newness
Starting out with mindfulness means being consciously thoughtful and present. The next step is ease. "If it's not easy, you’re not doing it right." That means whatever you're doing needs to be done with ease, otherwise you have already sacrificed mindfulness. We are just getting started. Mindfulness requires it, whatever it is, to be done with ease. That moves us into the most important part of the Succession Seven, sanctification. This is where ease comes in really handy. Of the seven, this is by far the most unfamiliar for most people. What is sanctification? The short answer is acknowledging the rightness, integrity, and timeliness of whatever is showing up, seeing it as unconditionally good. "It's happening for you, not to you." For a more in-depth explanation of what sanctification entails, check out the sanctification seven below. Why do we sanctify? With sanctification, the next step, gratitude, instantly becomes more organic. If whatever is happening is actually happening for you, being grateful for it is more natural. The sentiment, "There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way" and "there is no way to kindness, kindness is the way," takes a back seat to the Succession Seven. This psycho-technology looks for happiness and kindness to be organic. Sanctification makes gratitude organic. Gratitude makes happiness organic. Happiness makes kindness organic. This is the natural flow of things that gets highlighted with the Succession Seven. The desire to come up with new ways to be kind brings about creativity. The entire notion of letting it be easy supports this succession of things. Since sanctification requires more unpacking, below is the Sanctification Seven.
SANCTIFICATION SEVEN:
Sanctification begins with Unconditional Welcoming. Once you are ready to unconditionally welcome anything, you actually meet what you are meeting, what you are newly facing. You then actively greet what you meet and acknowledge its accurate presentation and timeliness. You then begin the process of becoming more familiar with its wisdom by asking questions, something gently called the interview process. After feeling "in the know" regarding its reason for being, you then state your vow to be of full support to it. You then begin the excellent practice of assessing and addressing, which is telling a greater story (for assessing) and answering the call (for addressing). In summary, the Sanctification Seven is as follows: 1) Unconditional Welcoming, 2 & 3) Meet & Greet, 4 & 5) Interview & Vow, 6 & 7) Assess & Address. As you sanctify well, the rest of the succession seven follows nicely, gently, and organically.
THE DEEPER DIVE:
Both the Succession Seven and the Sanctification Seven have a "Zero Point." This is a step before the first step, which prepares you well for the seven other. In the Succession Seven, the zero point is "Stopping." You have to stop before you start. It is a way of clearing the system so that starting is from a more still and clear place. Starting without stopping can bring more "noise" to the seven. Regarding the Sanctification Seven, the zero point is "Preparing for Unconditional Welcoming." When you are prepared for unconditional welcoming, not only do you unconditionally welcome very well, but you do so immediately, not after having an immature reaction. In fact, when you are prepared for unconditional welcoming, the reaction that would normally express itself is auspiciously absent.
Of the many ways to prepare for unconditional welcoming, we have the tenets ("the ten its,") which are ten statements that represent a few important tenets regarding this system. Studying the tenets helps prepare you through conditioning. Conditioning is more effective when you read the tenets more often. Don't just read them. Really sit with them. Feel their words and their sentiments. Interact with each tenet consciously. Allow the words and the sentiments to touch you deeply. This kind of preparation really helps. Again, let the conditioning be easy. Integration happens in its time. Honor that time. Let it be what it is. Don't rush. Don't push. Simply stay the course gently and easily. If you find yourself off course, all good. Just gently go back on course. This system is tremendously effective. The deep dive into sanctification alone is worth it. Here are the tenets. Get familiarized with all 10 of them. It's really good prep work!
