STILLNESS POSTURE

So many space-based practices makes Thriveapeutics quite the attractive resource. Here's yet another. This one is a posture for stillness. Yes, you can just sit quietly and that posture will do wonders because it is so easy to maintain. To get to a deeper starting point, incorporate the stillness posture. You can do it standing up, sitting down, in any position that gives you easy access to your third eye. Sitting may be the most comfortable since you can fall into a deep state of stillness.

With your hands in the prayer position, take the lower part (base) of your thumbs (the bone just above your wrist away from your tumb nail) and palce it on the third eye. Bring your neck back slightly so that you are gently lifting your chin up, not too much and not too little. Find the most comfortable neck position for stillness. Focus on your third eye and that gentle connection. With your eyes closed, move into the look down the corridor. Allow the emptiness, nothingness, and spaciousness to suck you in. Breathe deeply while being bathed in the nothingness that is all around you and through you.

At some point, you mind find yourself so at one with the stillness that you are free of thought. Nice. If thoughts do find their way in, focus back on the corridor, on the quiet in the nothingness, on the delightful sounds of silience. Be still and know...
