STORYTELLING

Throughout the years, thriveapeutics has been advancing the strategies of telling a greater story. Many terms have been used, including maturing things up, responsible interpretation, and reparenting. Storytelling offers quite a lot. To tell a greater story requires telling your current story. Once you put forth your story, you can begin the process of telling a better one, of maturing it up, of practicing responsible interpretation.

Storytelling in thriveapeutics is intriguing to say the least. Each version of you will offer a different rendition regarding the story being told. Allow different aspects of you to tell their stories. Know the aspect of you by assigning a name to it. That allows that version of you to be an archetype. Aren't you curious what many versions of you think? Are you only interested in the version being told by the dominant versions of you? What parts of your story have never been told? If you are not sure how to start, begin by asking specific versions of you to provide their perspectives. What they share in telling their stories will mostly likely be news to you. Crazy right? Your blindspots have something to say. What lies in the shadow of your conscious mind has a lot to say.

For the purpose of storytelling, tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth from many, many different perspectives, otherwise it is not the whole truth. Many times, only certain aspects of the truth get to see the light of day. Remarkably, those specific aspects of truth suppress and censor the greater truth, the truths that lie in the blindspots of the storytellers. This practice of storytelling offers you a much greater perspective. It also also you to adopt the stories that lift you, that inspire you, that lighten your loads and give you a greater appreciation of just how magical you truly are.

After practicing storytelling through many different versions of you, you can, if you choose, begin the practice of telling a greater story, of maturing things up. Whenever you tell a greater story, you become lighter in the presence of that story. The higher you go in telling a story, the lighter you will feel. Tell the highest and lighest stories possible. This way, when you choose to lean on one specific story, you can choose the one that takes you to your highest levels of functionality.

Thriveapeutics offers a workshop for storytelling. Known as the Storyteller's Meeting, the gathering is facilitated to help people learn how to tell greater and greater stories. 90-minute meetings cover the basics and allow participants to experience the benefits available.
